Hey mama, you’re getting this email because you filled out that podcast survey me (Sayo) and Mosope sent out a few weeks ago. THANK YOU!

Look we’ve been trying to start this podcast since 2022. It’s now 2025 πŸ’€ No excuses but… Life was lifeing and work was working. Now we’re finally doing it, and we go live in just A FEW WEEKS! πŸ₯ πŸ₯ πŸ₯ πŸ₯ πŸ₯ πŸ₯πŸ₯ πŸ₯ πŸ₯ πŸ₯ πŸ₯ πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯ πŸ₯ πŸ₯

First of all - Introduction πŸ‘‹πŸΎ

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Sayo. I've lived in Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ for 6 years now and I have two boys (7 and 3 years). You may already know my co-host, Mosope, who moved here at 15 and now has three kids - one boy (13 years) and two girls (10 & 6 years). We’re both figuring out this whole Canadian-Nigerian parenting mish-mash thing in real time.

But why another podcast na? πŸ€”

Because we know we’re not the only ones navigating how to raise kind, grounded, and culturally rooted kids in the diaspora so we’re offering the kind of support we wish we had.

And let’s be honest, you’re probably already in one million WhatsApp mommy groups that you can’t even keep up with, so we’re bringing out what we talk about in those groups … to a podcast called New Roots, New Rules.

What’s next? 🎀

We only know how to keep things real here so you can expect honest conversations, relatable stories and ideas that actually help.

Our first episode drops this August and you’ll be the first to know so keep an eye on your inbox! πŸ‘€.

We’re so glad you’re here!

With Love,
Sayo & Mosope ❀️
